Alois Budík

(1888, Bučovice – 1945, Třebíč)

Alois Budík, který tvořil pod jménem Lojza Budík, byl malíř, jehož tvorba je úzce spjatá s krajinou jižní Moravy a Vysočiny. Studoval na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze, avšak po úmrtí otce musel studia předčasně ukončit. Pobýval v Rusku a po návratu se usadil ve Znojmě, kde založil Sdružení umělců jihomoravského a západomoravského kraje. Roku 1938 byl nucen město opustit a přesídlit do Třebíče. V té době onemocněl, navíc měl od roku 1944 zakázáno vystavovat. V tíživé osobní i finanční situaci svůj život dobrovolně ukončil.

Budík byl vášnivým cestovatelem – navštívil Portugalsko, Španělsko, Itálii, Francii, Rusko, Alžírsko i Tunisko. Přesto byl jeho největší inspirací romantický kraj okolo Bítova, řeky Dyje, Jevišovky či Lužice u Tábora. Zachycoval také zákoutí Znojma nebo žánrové výjevy ze znojemských trhů. Velkou inspirací mu byla rovněž krajina Vysočiny. Jako ilustrátor se podílel například na propagačním prospektu Znojmo na Dyji.

Alois Budík, der unter dem Namen Lojza Budík arbeitete, war ein Maler, dessen Werk eng mit der Landschaft Südmährens und des Berglandes verbunden ist. Er studierte an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Prag, musste sein Studium jedoch nach dem Tod seines Vaters vorzeitig abbrechen. Er lebte in Russland und ließ sich nach seiner Rückkehr in Znojmo nieder, wo er den Verband der Künstler der südmährischen und westmährischen Regionen gründete. 1938 wurde er gezwungen, die Stadt zu verlassen, und zog nach Třebíč. Zu dieser Zeit erkrankte er und durfte ab 1944 nicht mehr ausstellen. Er beendete sein Leben in einer schwierigen persönlichen und finanziellen Situation. Budík war ein begeisterter Reisender – er besuchte Portugal, Spanien, Italien, Frankreich, Russland, Algerien und Tunesien. Seine größte Inspiration war jedoch die romantische Gegend Bítov, um den Fluss Thaya, Jevišovka oder Lužice bei Tábor. Er fotografierte auch die Ecken von Znojmo oder Genreszenen von den Znojmo-Märkten. Auch die Landschaft der Region Vysočina war für ihn eine große Inspiration. Als Illustrator wirkte er beispielsweise an der Werbebroschüre für Znojmo na Dyji mit.

Alois Budík, who worked under the name Lojza Budík, was a painter whose work is closely connected to the landscape of South Moravia and the Highlands. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague but had to leave his studies early after his father's death. He lived in Russia, and after his return, he settled in Znojmo, where he founded the Association of Artists of the South Moravian and West Moravian Regions. In 1938, he was forced to leave the city and moved to Třebíč. At that time, he fell ill, and in addition, he was forbidden to exhibit since 1944. He ended his life in a difficult personal and financial situation. Budík was an avid traveller – he visited Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Russia, Algeria, and Tunisia. Nevertheless, his greatest inspiration was the romantic region around Bítov, the Dyje River, Jevišovka, or Lužice near Tábor. He also recorded the corners of Znojmo or genre scenes from the Znojmo markets. The landscape of the Vysočina region was also a great inspiration for him. As an illustrator, he participated, for example, in the promotional brochure named Znojmo na Dyji.
