Josef Nerad, známý také jako Jožka Nerad, byl malíř a zahradní architekt. Malířství studoval u profesora C. M. Thumy. Byl členem Svazu českých umělců v Praze. V roce 1940 založil v Řásné u Telče Sdružení horáckých výtvarníků.

Ve své výtvarné tvorbě se zaměřoval především na krajinomalbu, která čerpala inspiraci z krajiny Vysočiny a Horácka. Neradovy obrazy se vyznačují smyslem pro barevnost a atmosféru, s důrazem na tiché kouzlo české krajiny.

Josef Nerad, auch bekannt als Jožka Nerad, war Maler und Landschaftsarchitekt. Er studierte Malerei bei Professor C. M. Thuma. Er war Mitglied des Verbandes tschechischer Künstler in Prag. In der Jahre 1940 gründete er in Řásná bei Telč die Vereinigung der Künstler aus Horácko.

Sein künstlerisches Schaffen konzentrierte sich vor allem auf die Landschaftsmalerei, die von den Landschaften der Regionen Vysočina und Horácko inspiriert war. Nerads Gemälde zeichnen sich durch ein Gespür für Farbe und Atmosphäre aus und betonen den stillen Charme der tschechischen Landschaft.

Josef Nerad, also known as Jožka Nerad, was a painter and landscape architect. He studied painting with Professor C. M. Thuma. He was a member of the Union of Czech Artists in Prague. In 1940, he founded in Řásná near Telč the Association of artists from Horácko.

In his artistic work, he focused primarily on landscape painting, which drew inspiration from the landscapes of the Vysočina and Horácko regions. Nerad's paintings are characterized by a sense of color and atmosphere, with an emphasis on the quiet charm of the Czech landscape.
